A scientific research team was formed between the Alpha Foundation for Chemical Industries and the University of Petra, and a joint research team was built to develop effective and safe disinfectants and sterilizers for people, hard surfaces, chicken farms and cows, within the framework of documenting research work between the industrial and academic sectors. This is through the academic and practical experiences in teaching, scientific research and industry of Dr. Al-Bitar. In a meeting organized by the College of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences at the University of Petra, and in cooperation with the Department of Chemistry, it was agreed to form a research team that includes in its membership the Director General of Alpha Chemical Industries, Dr. Muhammad Al-Bitar, and researchers from the University of Petra, Dr. Iyad Al-Mallah, and Dr. Luay Abu Fatousa from the College of Pharmacy. Head of the Department of Chemistry, Dr. Abdel Moneim Al-Tuwaiq, Dr. Ali Al-Maqousi from the College of Information Technology, and Mr. Ayman Al-Khatib from the Chemical Industries Sector.
The two sides agreed to carry out a joint research specialized in the manufacture and development of effective and safe disinfectants in the laboratories of the University of Petra. And signing a memorandum of understanding with the aim of enhancing scientific and research cooperation between them. Where some items have been registered for the Alpha Foundation with the Food and Drug General Organization, to get rid of the Corona virus.
